Instructors

Our Instructors love what they do.
They are qualified and proficient riders themslves and are very dedicated to passing on their Knoweledge and passion to other horse lovers.

Ester Smith
Is our chief instructor, she started here at Ranchlands as a 10 year old learner, and always wanted to be a instructor here, and after much travelling around with the army her other job, she has now been teaching here for some years.

Ester may be pint sized, she only comes up to her 17 hand horse's shoulder, it hasn't stopped her gaining the respect of her students, and the keenness they show on turning up week after week, for the knowledge Ester is able to pass on.        Ester has a certificate 111/IV in Sports Coaching.

 Kelly Woodroffe
Kelly hails from South Africa, and spent time riding there and in England, before moving to Cairns to live, Kelly has a wide experience, in all fields.  She has her own horse Suni, which she has been training for the dressage and hack arenas.

Kelly has a good rapport with the kids, and  the adult classes enjoy her innovative approach always coming up with some new exercises and tasks.
So we are very glad she moved here and were able to take advantage of her knowledge.

Kelly has nearly finished her certificate in coaching
