Tania hails from England, where she became a Instructor with the British Horse Society, and worked there teaching before arriving in Australia in 1996.
Tania actually has been working at Ranchlands on and off for nearly 20 years, in between children etc. She loves passing on her knowledge and respect of the horses and to celebrate every small achievement you can gain whilst riding different horses. She gains a great rapport with her students and is passionate about what she can help people achieve.
Julie was born and bred in Charters Towers and am still a country girl at heart.
“My dad had me on a horse teaching me the basics from a very early age. I progressed onto Pony Club and also spent many hours helping my Dad muster on our family property.
As I became more involved in Pony Club with my daughter, I went on to become a level C Pony Club Instructor, Showjumping and Dressage judge and have been volunteering for the Black River Pony Club and Zone 11 for the last 18 years.
I also have my own beautiful horse, TenZero and compete Dressage at as many competitions as I can. We are currently training Elementary level with Jenny.
I have been teaching at Ranchlands for one year now and am passionate about teaching children and adults to connect with and to learn to learn to ride horses. It is so rewarding to watch the enjoyment on their faces and to see them gain confidence and progress through the level”
Esther is our chief instructor, she started here at Ranchlands as a 10 year old learner, and always wanted to be a instructor here, and after
much travelling around with the army one of her other jobs, she has now been teaching here for 13 years.
She competes regularly and successfully in the dressage arena and recently has taken up the challenge of the eventing ring, wth her new horse Ben, and after a few hair raising rounds, has started to enjoy the adrenaline rush.
Esther may be pint sized, she only comes up to her 17 hand horse’s shoulder, it hasn’t stopped her gaining the respect of her students,
and the keenness they show on turning up week after week for the knowledge Ester is able to pass on.
Ester has a certificate 111/IV in Sports Coaching.
