Intro to Horses
Get ready for an amazing adventure for kids 6 and up, adults welcome too, no horse experience needed! These sessions are all about introducing you to the wonderful world of horses! You'll learn how say hello, interact, lead, and groom your new friends while discovering the joy of riding bareback. Expect smiles, giggles, and the chance to make new friends—this is where your horse obsession begins!

Follow on to Intro
The next step. This program is perfect for kids aged 6 and up, adults welcome too, who have completed the Intro to Horses sessions. Now, it’s time to take the next step and dive into the world of bridles and saddles! Learn how to hold the reins, find out just the right pressure to ask your horse to stop or turn, and discover the perfect way to sit in the saddle, and gain balance. Extend on communication skills and have a mini lesson to put it all together. Things might get a bit more challenging, but that's all part of the fun.

Adopt a Horse Day
Adopt a Horse Day is open to current Ranchland riders only. A day to fully submerse themselves in all thing's ponies, from feeding, cleaning stalls, tacking cleaning, grooming, bathing and more, plus 2 rides. A day of smiles, pony smells and hanging out with friends, does not get much better.

Cost: $175 - Full Day inc Lunch

Mini & Open Challange
The Challenge is open to Ranchlands Riders only and Agistee's. A fun afternoon split into two days. Mini's for our younger riders and Open for the more experienced teenagers and adults. Put your riding to the 'challenge' by riding a dressage test (tailored to your level) followed by a timed jumping round (for your limits). Ribbons and prizes to be won - but the prize is bringing the family for an afternoon picnic, spending time sprucing your mount and supporting fellow riders. Are you ready for the challenge?

Jumping Clinic
The Jumping Clinic is open to current Ranchland riders only who are competent in their group lessons. This is a favourite with the riders! Clinics vary in structure, focusing on rider balance, rider position, jump line, grid work, strides and jumping a course.

Theory is put into practice with riding a course in the afternoon. Can you ride a clear course with good lines? There is plenty of time for grooming, tack cleaning and hanging out with stable mates

Ranchlands Revel
The Ranchlands Revel is open to Adult Ranchlands Riders only and Agistee's. A fun afternoon/evening where we get to socialise with our fellow riders from other riding nights, eat some cheese, drink some bubbles, ohh and perhaps ride a pony or two in there too :)
Time to see how you go riding two tests on the same horse or two different horses... how do you go??? Tests of course are tailored to your level and can be called out. Cheer each other on, chink a glass and gather round for some pony tales.

Gymkhanas
The Annual Gymkhana is open to current Ranchland riders only are in group lessons. Who does not want to get their competitiveness spirit on, blow off some steam and see who has the will to win!
​
Games are generally held at the end of the year to finish with some Christmas cheer - dressing up your pony and self in Christmas garb is celebrated and even some extra prizes may be up for grabs along with ribbons for races. Support the Riding for Disabled who put on the Sausage Sizzle for fund raising and bring the family for one last hurrah for the year.

Adult Workshops
Adult Horsemanship Workshops are open to all, external and Ranchlands riders, basic riding required. Riding horses is not just the hour lesson once a week. We run workshops about 3 weeks apart on Sundays, during the cooler part of the year.
These workshops range in material, are progressive, but you do not have to commit to all. We adapt to registered riders and focus on, but not limited to some of the following: connection, leadership, feel, pressure/release, moving feet, dentistry, hoof care, full grooming, tack - which tack for which horse, cleaning tack, bathing horses, rider balance, rider position, moving feet whilst riding, feel on the rein, transitions......

Jenny and Lew Haines run some of the specialised sessions bringing their many years of experience and knowledge.
​
Throw in some morning tea, a cuppa and a good horse chat with fellow horse enthusiasts and a good Sunday morning spent.
