Frequently Asked Questions
How old do you have to be to ride?
We take riders for lessons from 6 years up. For those super keen little equine enthusiasts, we offer pony rides for 15 minutes.
Where are you?
We are located at 83 Hammond Way in Kelso, please look at our location map on the ‘contact us’ link page for directions.
What do we do when we get to Ranchlands?
Park out the front on the footpath near wooden rails, walk along tall chain fence towards arena, and the office is in the green building in front of the stables. Come in before you start your lesson. Toilets are under the high house. Drinks on sale in the office. If it is your first lesson you will need to fill out Rider Registration Form prior to riding, to save time, you can download it here.
What do I wear?
Long Pants and Shirts, with flat soled boots, with a heel to be worn (no steel capped boots/runners). Helmets must be always worn. If you do not own boots or a helmet, that is ok we have a supply of riding boots and helmets in the tack room, which you are welcome to use, until you acquire your own.
How can I pay?
We accept Cash, Credit Card, and Online Payments. Our payment preference is online to free up office time in the afternoons. All lesson payments need to be made prior to lesson.

YES, absolutely. Gift vouchers can be purchased via email or in the office for any occasion!
