Riding Lessons
General Information
Horse Riding Lessons are available from 6 years to adults. We have a range of horses in our herd to safely cater for all levels of riders. We do offer pony rides for those budding eager equine toddlers who are under 6 years old. Lessons run Monday - Friday after school hours into early evening - we have lights. No lessons on weekends. We hold events / clinics on Sundays.

Semi-Private Lessons
Generally aimed towards beginners and those adults getting 'back in the saddle' we offer two types of semi-private lesson / The 2:1 ratio allows the instructor to focus on each individual but also allows the riders to experience the start of the Ranchlands Community feel.

The adults progress into a small 3/4 group at 1 hour once able to master balance, rise trot and steering. From there the progression is to the main group lesson.
​
The children progress to a smaller group lesson so as not to feel so overwhelmed and again the next stage to the main group lessons.
All progressions are subject to the instructor.

Children: 30 mins $75 each*

*If child ends up on their own, lesson reverts to private at $85. Adults have the choice to drop to 30min lesson or $107.
Group Lessons
Group lessons are for those riders who are balanced and can canter independently. New riders to Ranchlands will be assed with a semi-private lesson before being placed in a group lesson. Lessons involve flat work, jumping and games! We love the community feel that the group lessons bring to Ranchlands, arrive in time to prepare your own horse for your lesson, horsemanship skills are as important as ridden skills, as well as good for the soul.

*Group lessons are 5-7 riders, if the lesson falls to under 5 riders, lesson time will drop to 45mins.

We offer private lessons and lessons on your own horse. For these options, please contact us to discuss, as very much dependent on scheduling.

Pony rides are offered to those under 6yrs who just cannot wait to sit on a pony, these again are very much dependent on scheduling, please touch base for further information.
